How strong has your mental game in Sporting Clays been so far this year?
If you follow the sporting clays publications and online media, you may realise that mental training has been discussed much more in recent years. Some is useful, much of it is confusing and vague. There are many different forms of mental training and I have always tried to focus on the core skills where I have a successful track record – helping students improve the consistency of their mental focus.
This is what I teach – “to achieve consistent mental focus“.
There are other aspects of the mental game which are important, such as self-belief and confidence. But if you have already viewed my videos on improving your mental game, you will understand that I focus on teaching students how to access a controlled and intense state of mental focus on demand; be that the easiest local tournament or a Major Championship. Some of this is pre/post-shot in the station, some is outside the station as “competition management”.
One issue is that most competitive shooters don’t know what true mental focus is. They hear talk about “The Zone“, or to just look harder at the bird. What does that mean specifically? Yes, your eyes need to look hard, but what about your brain? Your brain often rebels against this and gets in the way during the shot. Sounds familiar?
I have been training Sporting Clays World Champions across all disciplines since 1999 and coaching in the USA since 2003. I work on an individual basis, knowing each person needs a tailored solution to improve their mental game. I always ask people to judge me from the results of my students, not just what I say.
In September 2016 I will be visiting the USA once again to attend the SE Regionals. I am looking forward to having informal discussions those looking to improve their mental game. However, with a growing young family at home and significant demand for this unique and successful training from other nations, this will be the only opportunity to meet with me this year in the USA.
With this in mind, I have created a very special opportunity…
At the SE Regionals I will be meeting with students looking to improve their mental game. This enables me to watch you perform in a competition environment. For those looking to build their game for the 2017 this is a unique opportunity. In October we will then commence our coaching which will be via email and phone.
This package includes:
- 1 day private training with me on a one-to-one basis.
- The Brain Cap – a training tool to measure your own brainwave activity, to help you learn what true focus is and how to consciously control it. You use this after our initial training to help learn to control your mental states.
- Coaching during October through to US Nationals at the end of October – via phone / email. This is at the core of the programme and essential for your success. I will also be attending SE Regionals where my priority will be to meet these students during the tournament. A strong mental game is not just when you are in the station, but also your “competition management” throughout the days.
Special Price:
This condensed, intensive version of the programme will be available for £1,200 GBP. In the past my advanced coaching packages have been priced at $3,800. I am pricing this in GBP rather than USD as the Pound is currently at record lows against the USD post Brexit. So you get to take advantage of this with your stronger currency! Depending on conversion at the time, this could work out at just over $1,500 for this complete package – a real bargain in value – brainwave equipment and one month of coaching. You will be paying my company back in the UK and I’ll make this as easy as possible for you (wire or card).
We are now fully booked, but if you would like to be added to the waiting list for upcoming dates, please contact my office.
What now…?
If you would like to meet with me before or during the SE Regionals, Please contact my office as soon as possible. My team will arrange a time for you to meet me and help answer any additional questions you may have.
I look forward to helping you build a strong mental game and to build bigger scores!
One final thing, I am often asked what the student needs to bring along. The main thing is PATIENCE. This is a process and not a quick fix. If you’re looking for the easy path and magic solution, this is not the programme for you. It takes time to make these changes and re-build your mental approach. You need to be prepared to work through the challenges and this is the ideal time to do that. I’ll be there to support you.
And if you haven’t done so already, take a look at the series of videos I published which explain my approach to mental training.
